Lets Get Started Quilting - SPF
Now that you've made your mini quilt top, lets get started on the quilting process. Or maybe you have a finished top..but what's next. Learn basic quilting skills of layering, basting and quilting with your domestic sewing machine. We will discuss basting options, thread color choices, quilting designs and more. A walking foot is required for the class. Class fee $45. Sign up online, come by the shop or call to reserve your seat - 217-670-1257.
Supplies:
Sewing machine in good working order, manual, power cord, and foot pedal.
Walking foot
Curved safety pins
Frixion pen
Chalk pencil
Thread & hand sewing needle
Thread and full bobbin for quilting
Backing fabric and batting 4" longer and wider than mini quilt top
Normal sewing supplies: scissors, seam ripper, straight pins, extra machine needle, etc.
